A collection of gear unique to the Upper Thumb's culture of Sea Kayaking and Canoeing along the Shore of Huron County. The Heritage Water Trail extends along the shore from White Rock to just outside of Bay City.
One of the most paddled water trails in the Upper Thumb. Paddling to Turnip Rock is the highlight for kayakers of all skills. Turnip Rock is a small geological formation at the tip of Michigan's Thumb. It is a limestone stack located in Lake Huron, in shallow water a few yards from the offshore cliffs. Also near near a famous outcropping called the Thumbnail which is the extreme tip of Pointe Aux Barques.
